House Rules

Last updated: 10 August 2026.

Facilities and conduct

  • Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere in the building.
  • Animals are not permitted within Bonsai.
  • The use or sale of prohibited substances will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • The provision of training is strictly reserved for staff appointed by Bonsai and for independent coaches recognised by Bonsai. Coaching other members on one’s own initiative may result in the termination of the Membership.
  • We kindly ask that you follow the instructions of our staff and instructors at all times.
  • Please treat our facilities, materials and equipment as though they were your own, use them solely for their intended purpose and follow the guidelines provided.
  • The Membership and your access pass are strictly personal. Granting third parties access to the Club without authorisation, for example by sharing an access pass, will give rise to a fine of €150 and to a suspension of access until this fine has been settled, without prejudice to Bonsai’s right to terminate the Membership without refund.
  • The Club is accessible from the age of 18. Minors aged 16 and over are welcome, subject to prior written consent from a parent or legal guardian. The wellness area remains inaccessible to minors at all times.
  • Guests of Elite members are asked to report to reception upon arrival, where they will be registered. The inviting member shall ensure that his or her guest complies with these house rules and remains responsible in this regard.
  • During outdoor activities organised by Bonsai, such as the Running Club sessions, please follow the instructions of the accompanying coach and observe the applicable traffic regulations.

Attire and hygiene

  • The wearing of appropriate sportswear and clean sports shoes, intended exclusively for indoor use, is mandatory.
  • The use of a towel is mandatory on the fitness equipment and in the changing rooms.
  • Please leave equipment and materials in good order for the next member after use, wiping them down with a towel where necessary.

Use of changing rooms and lockers

  • We kindly ask that you observe changing-room etiquette at all times, be considerate of others present and respect their privacy.
  • Lockers are intended solely for use during your presence in the Club. Should a locker need to be forced open through the fault of the member, Bonsai may charge a reasonable fee for doing so.
  • The lockers are emptied daily by our teams. Items left behind are kept as lost property at reception for sixty (60) days. We advise you not to leave any valuables in the lockers.

Group classes

  • We recommend arriving 10 minutes before the start of the class. Once the session has begun, entry is in principle no longer possible, out of respect for the group and the instructor. In certain cases, however, the instructor may grant permission to join late, provided this does not disrupt the course of the class.
  • Cancellations must be made no later than 12 hours before the start of the class. In the event of three absences (no-shows) within a period of 30 days without timely cancellation, the ability to book classes will be suspended for 7 days.

Wellness

  • The wellness area (sauna, ice bath and Sun Shower) is a place of calm and serenity. We kindly ask that you observe silence and discretion there.
  • Two days a week, the wellness area is reserved exclusively for our female members. The applicable days and time slots are available at reception.
  • Showering before using the wellness facilities is mandatory. Use of the sauna and the ice bath is at your own risk and is not advised in the event of medical contraindications, in particular cardiovascular conditions, or during pregnancy. If in doubt, please consult your doctor beforehand.

Privacy

  • Photographs and videos may be taken within the Club for promotional purposes. By being a member, you grant permission for the use of such imagery by Bonsai.
  • The Club is equipped with CCTV surveillance, for the protection and safety of our members.

Respect for one another

  • We expect every member to demonstrate a responsible attitude and respect towards fellow members, our staff, and Bonsai’s spaces and materials.

By being a member of Bonsai, you agree to these house rules. Should you have any questions or comments, please feel free to approach any member of our staff.
